Military Facilities Guide

Welcome to Military Facilities

Military Facilities in California offers a unique living environment centered around established defense installations throughout the state. These communities provide convenient access to base amenities including commissaries, exchanges, fitness centers, and medical facilities, along with the structured security that comes with proximity to military operations. Housing options range from on-base family quarters to nearby civilian neighborhoods that have grown up alongside these installations.

Many of these areas feature well-maintained infrastructure and parks, with schools like Thurgood Marshall Middle School serving military families alongside civilian residents. Childcare options such as The Merry Go Around, My Friends & I Children's Growing Place, Early Learners Children's Academy, and Davo Family Child Care cater specifically to working parents who value reliability and accessibility.

The sense of community in these neighborhoods tends to be particularly strong, shaped by shared experiences and the regular rotation of military personnel. Location varies widely across California, from coastal installations to inland bases, each offering different recreational opportunities and proximity to civilian job centers.

These communities naturally appeal to active-duty military members, veterans, defense contractors, and families who appreciate the stability, camaraderie, and benefits that come with living near military installations.
